Identifying Characteristics
Female metasoma widest in middle, length about 1.2× greatest width, narrow white hair bands on T2, T3 and T4, plus T5 and T6 covered with orange hair. Male with slightly modified foreleg, large teeth under rear of abdomen and 2 lines white hair under fore femur.
Distinctive Features
The white hair band on T4 distinguishes females of this species from M. heliophila and the shape of the projection on T6 of the male is unlike that of any other speces in the area.
