Identifying Characteristics
A tiny black bee, female with small white face marks, male white to approximately the top of the clypeus.
Distinctive Features
Males always have a black collar, as do many females, but some females have white on the collar. Polished areas behind the scapes of males can be seen with very close inspection. Females have small patches of hair on the sides of the abdomen that are revealed only in oblique lighting.
